The PET Hero Award is a recognition fundraiser goals :
* allows animal welfare efforts to get recognition
* raises funds for local supporting groups
* allows the PET to give out more awards
* promotes pet planning awareness for pet owners
By hosting a community recognition fundraiser, it invites local animal groups to collaborate and bring recognition to local animal welfare efforts . Veterinarians and animal shelter workers face burnout from working in the animal welfare industry. It sometimes seems overwhelming the animal stories we hear. We wanted to do something to acknowledge the thousands who fight for animal welfare every day who never get noticed.
The PET Hero Award offers a way to recognizes people, businesses and organizations for their efforts to promote animal welfare. The PET Hero Award could let someone feel that their work is valued. It shows approval and gratitude for each person's good job, and it makes people aware that good work is recognized. We believe many animal workers are not recognized enough for their efforts.
I’ll be honest, I’m not sure how all of this will work, but it feels right.
